If you take a moment and you ask yourself if you are self- conscious, do you think of the things you feel embarrassed about? Like wearing something to a dinner party and not feeling so great in it. Perhaps you have held back sharing something in a crowd, like your opinion, because you were afraid of what others might think, you know what I mean right?
But let's expand your perspective of the phrase Are you Self -Conscious.
Instead of thinking are you self conscious as a phrase that causes suffering, which I know can be from personal experience, I want you to turn around the the words and ask, are you conscious of your self?
Being conscious of oneself allows for the development of a quality called witnessing.
Witnessing starts to create a gap between your actions or words and your intensions.
